Consider approval of Proclamation Designating the Week of May 15-21, 2016 as The Bell County Museum’s Birthday Week, recognizing the opening of the Carnegie Library on May 15, 1905 and the opening of the Museum Building Expansion, new permanent exhibit areas, and expanded visiting exhibit gallery space on May 21, 2006.
Announce receipt of $1,152,716.95 in partial payment of reimbursement under Local Government Code Section 140.011 for the Local Governments Disproportionately Affected by Disabled Veterans (LGDADV) Exemption.
Consider accepting at no cost to the County one 2007 Trailer with 18 stalls, VIN# 1J9DB282671092866 from DLA Disposition Services, San Antonio, TX under the 1033 program (Military Surplus Equipment to Law Enforcement); appropriate under Local Government Code, Title 3, Chapter 81, subchapter B, Sec. 81.032. This Trailer will be used by Animal Control when responding to calls that involve impounding a large number of small animals. This gives Animal Control the ability to safely transport these smaller animals.
Consider approval of renewed Agreement with Corps of Engineers for increased law enforcement services at Belton and Stillhouse Hollow Lakes.
