Consider approval of Memorandum of Understanding - Residential between the Board of Trustees of the Killeen Independent School District (“District”), the Bell County Juvenile Board, and the Bell Commissioners Court under which the District will provide educational services during the regular school term for juveniles detained at the Bell County Juvenile Detention Center as set out in the Memorandum.
Consider award of IFB #12-16, Pavement Markers and Raised Pavement Markers to the only bid received and meeting specifications, D.I.J. Construction, Inc.
Upon request of affected area residents under Section 43.0562(b) of the Texas Local Government Code for purposes of negotiations under Subsection (a)(1), consider selection of five representatives to negotiate with the City of Nolanville for the provision of services to the area after annexation.
Consider approval of Order in the matter of Discussion and Action on Responding or Taking Action in Response to Attorney General Threat of Litigation and Penalties Regarding Bell County Justice Center/Courthouse and Courthouse Annex restrictions on handguns, authorizing the Bell County Attorney, Bell County District Attorney (and Allison, Bass & Magee. LLP as assisting or local counsel) to take such action as the County’s legal counsel believes in its professional judgment is necessary to protect the County’s rights and obligations to provide a safe, secure environment for courts and all participants in the judicial process, to protect the County from the threatened actions of the Attorney General, and to confirm the County’s authority and responsibility to restrict handguns from being brought into the Bell County Justice Center/Courthouse or Courthouse Annex, including conferring with the Attorney General’s Office, defending litigation or filing litigation.
