Second Street, Suite B, effective July 31, 2016, to extend the Lease for an additional term of one (1) year, beginning August 1, 2016 and continuing until July 31, 2017, and with two (2) additional one (1) year terms and with other changes as set out in the Amendment.
Announce award and approve acceptance of Texas Indigent Defense Commission Competitive Discretionary Grant in the amount of $262,215 to Bell County on behalf of the Texas Conference of Urban Counties and on behalf of 11 Counties (Anderson, Bell, Brown, Coryell, Medina, Mills, Montgomery, Real, Tarrant, Victoria and Uvalde Counties) for one year for Maintenance and Operation of TechShare Indigent Defense Web-based Appointment and Compliance Monitoring System, for further development of the Fair Indigent Defense Online (FIDo) software of Bell County.
Consider approval of Renewal of Agreement for Continued Inmate Healthcare Services for 2017 and Mental Health Professionals (MHP) Staffing Enhancement between Bell County and Correctional Healthcare Companies (CHC) for two (2) additional years effective January 13, 2017 through January 12, 2019, with an increase in the base contract amount for Year 3 consistent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Urban Consumers – US City Average for Medical Care Component, that has a current CPI rate of 4.0% but CHC agrees to a fixed rate increase of 3.5% for Year 4 and 3.5% for Year 5 of the renewal; in addition, CHC agrees to provide 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) of Mental Health Professional Hours at no additional charge; all as set out in the August 29, 2016 CHC letter to Bell County.
