Recognize Bell County Court-at-Law #3 Judge Rebecca DePew upon her appointment by Governor Greg Abbott as one of four appointed to the Specialty Courts Advisory Council. Judge DePew was appointed for a term to expire February 1, 2021. The Council evaluates applications for grant funding for specialty courts from the Governor’s Office and makes funding recommendations to the Criminal Justice Division regarding best practices.
Recognize Bell County Judge Jon Burrows upon his reappointment by Governor Greg Abbott to the thirteen member Governing Board of the Texas Indigent Defense Commission for a term to expire February 1, 2018. The Commission provides financial and technical support to counties to develop and maintain quality, cost-effective indigent defense systems.
Consider approval of Resolution in opposition to proposed use of “re:SearchTX” that changes current statutes on local control of records held by the county and district clerk or diverts existing county revenue to any other government entity concerning records held under local control by statute.
Consider awarding RFP 03-17 - Bell County Museum Exterior Renovations to Camden Enterprises, LLC, in the amount of $164,940.00, with a $10,000.00 contingency for this project that is not to be used unless authorized by Bell County.
Consider approval of Bell County’s Assured Maintenance Agreement Inspection Plan with Daikin Applied Americas Inc. covering December 2016 thru November 2017 for $14,124.00 for the Chillers at the Chiller Plant for the Courts Complex and Loop Jail.
