Consider approval of a professional engineering contract with Acton Partners, LLC for services to address the repairs of the Central Jail tilt walls and roof, with services to include job specifications, bidder selection, drawing and submittal review, preconstruction meetings and on-site construction observation and oversight, with the total cost of the contract estimated at $20,480.00.
Consider approval of contract with Oldcastle Materials Texas, Inc. dba Wheeler in the amount of $7,000.00 for the restriping and replacement of all the wheel stops in the parking lot adjacent to the Historic Bell County Courthouse in downtown Belton.
Consider approval of a Tax Abatement for Cargill, Inc. for real property improvements estimated at $6,500,000.00 for 10 years, with 100% tax abatement for years 1 through 5 and 50% tax abatement in years 6 through 10 on 143.21 acres located at 251 Berger Road in Temple, Bell County, Texas. The City of Temple on October 24, 2017 approved this tract of land as Tax Abatement Reinvestment Zone Number 35. This project is both an animal feed manufacturing and a distribution expansion of their current feed mill operation in Temple.
