Personnel/Budget Amendment a. Recognize Pct 2 Commissioner Tim Brown on his election as the 2018-2019 Vice Chairman of Education on the Board of the Conference of Urban Counties (CUC), which also places him on the CUC Policy Committee.
Consider a determination whether circumstances are present in all or part of the unincorporated area of Bell County that creates a public safety hazard that would be exacerbated by outdoor burning, and if so, consider approval of Order Restricting Outdoor Burning (Burn Ban).
5. Consider rescinding the approval of Item 8 on November 6, 2017 agenda for a professional engineering contract with Acton Partners, LLC for services to address the repairs of the Central Jail and tilt walls and roof, with services to include job specifications, bidder selection, drawing and submittal review, pre-construction meetings and on-site construction observation and oversight, with the total cost of the contract estimated at $20,480.00, in order to combine those services with a professional services contract with Eleven Thirteen Architects, Inc. 6. Consider approval of professional services proposal with Eleven Thirteen Architects, Inc. to revise design and construction documents for the remedial construction of the entire rood surface and panel joint remedial construction at precast concrete building envelope wall of the downtown Central Jail in Belton, with this proposal superseding the proposal to Bell County, dated June 30, 2016.
Consider approval of renewal agreement of “2017 County Video Program” between CGI Communications, Inc. and Bell County, Texas to create a series of professionally produced online videos and provide other services as detailed in the attached agreement.
Consider approval for the purchase of 6 HP network switches from Sequel Datasystems Inc, DIR-SDD-3359 in the amount of $18,826.60 for the Sheriff’s Lobby, Killeen Annex, Killeen Help Center, Killeen Motor Vehicle and the Justice Complex for Bell County’s network infrastructure.
Consider accepting an equipment donation of a HP Designjet T1120ps Plotter (2009) from the Central Texas Council of Governments in accordance with Section 81.032 “Acceptance of Donations and Bequests” of the Texas Local Government Code. This plotter is to be donated to the Bell County 911 Communication Center; and consider donating a HP Designjet 800 Plotter (2003) to the Hill Country Transit District in accordance with Section 263.152 “Disposition” (A), (B) & (C) of the Texas Local Government Code.
Consider authorizing the County Auditor to advertise for Request for Qualifications for Architectural Services to establish a list of qualified Architects to select from for future Bell County projects.
