Consider approval of Motor Vehicle License Registration Agent Agreement between Bell County (“County”), Bell County Tax Assessor-Collector (“Tax Assessor-Collector”)and Brookshire Brothers, Inc. (as “Distributor”) in which Distributor is authorized to act as an agent of the Tax Assessor-Collector to issue vehicle license registration stickers at its location at 215 Mill Creek Drive in Salado, Texas.
Consider the donation of a 2008 Ford Expedition (VIN 1FMFU15528LA67438) from the Sheriff’s Department to the Bell County Expo. This vehicle was originally scheduled to be auctioned. In exchange, the Bell County Expo will give Bell County a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer (VIN IGNCS13X44K148045) that will go to auction.
Consider approval of a contract with Oldcastle Materials Texas, Inc. (d/b/a Wheeler, an Oldcastle company) in the amount of $32,779.08 to pave the Bell County parking lot located at the corner of Water Street and N. East Street, across from the Historic Bell County Courthouse.
Consider approval of the second 1-year contract renewal (under the same terms and conditions from contract dated July 13, 2016) with Langerman Foster Engineering Company for construction material testing services, with a Renewal term of July 13, 2018 through July 12, 2019.
Discuss and consider adoption of an Order Authorizing the Issuance of Bell County, Texas, Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2018, in a Maximum Principal Amount Not to Exceed $10,000,000; Authorizing a Paying Agent/Registrar Agreement; Awarding the Purchase of the Certificates; and Ordering Certain Other Matters Related to the Issuance of the Certificates.
Consider and take action to recess the regularly scheduled meeting of the Bell County Commissioners Court in order to conduct business as the County of Bell Employee Benefits Trust
Reconvene Bell County Commissioners Court to consider and take action to accept the action of the County of Bell Employee Benefits Trust to accept proposals/bids for Employee Medical and Pharmacy Benefits Insurance and Employee Dental Benefits Insurance.
Consider and take action to authorize funding of the Bell County Employee Medical and Pharmacy Benefits Insurance, being Scott & White Health Plan, and Employee Dental Benefits Insurance, being Ameritas Dental Plan Insurance renewal, and to authorize transfer of funds from Bell County General Funds to the County of Bell Employee Benefits Trust Account as needed to fund premiums as presented by the insurance carriers.
