Consider approval of a Resolution in support of the Homeland Security Grant application of the Bell County Communications Center for Dispatch Console AES/DES Encryption Project in the amount of $92,041.41 through the Office of the Governor. This project will enable more secure voice communications sought by the major law enforcement agencies in the county. There is no matching funds requirements with this grant.
Consider the equal distribution of the remaining $61,808.99 in the VFD Grant Assistance Fund to each of the following volunteer fire departments in the amount of $6,867,66 each: Central Bell County VFD Southwest Bell County VFD Moffat VFD Morgan's Point Resort VFD Troy VFD Rogers VFD Holland VFD Bartlett VFD Little River VFD
