5. Consider the appointment of Chris Bazar as Constable Precinct 2, effective July 12, 2024, for the unexpired term vacated as a result of Constable Roily Correa's Retirement.
6. Consider approval of the Official Bond of Chris Bazar appointed as Bell County Constable, Precinct 2, for Bell County, Texas, for the unexpired term vacated as a result of Constable Roily Correa's Retirement.
7. Consider authorizing the County Judge to request capital credits, pursuant to Texas Local Government Code, Section 381.004, from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Fund to be utilized to support the following children's advocacy centers: AWARE Central Texas, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Bell County Child Welfare Board, and Children's Advocacy Center.
8. Consider Minute Order # authorizing the submission of a COPS Technology and Equipment Program Invitational application in the amount of $1,925,000 with a funding match requirement of $0.00 for the Bell County Sheriff's Office to the United States Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services designating the Bell County Sheriff and the Bell County Judge as the Authorized Officials for the grant.
9. Consider the exemption from competitive requirements for certain purchases for independent audits for FY24 in accordance with LGC 262.024 (a) (4) and authorize the following professional service contracts.
10. Consider Authorizing funding of the Bell County Employee Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Dental Benefits Insurance for FY2025 as follows: Health and pharmaceutical group benefits in the amount of $7180 per employee annually with the County contributing $7073 and the employee contributing $108 annually. The total annual estimated cost of premiums paid by the county of $8,416,870 based on 1,190 enrollments. Dental group benefits in the amount of $201 per employee annually with a total annual estimated cost of premiums paid by the count of $241,794 based upon 1208 enrollments. This authorization and appropriation is conditioned upon recommendation and action taken by the Bell County Employee Benefits Trust awarding the group health, pharmaceutical, and dental plans to Curative and Metlife Dental. Upon said action by the Bell County Employee Benefits Trust, the County Auditor is authorized to transfer funds from the Bell County General Fund to the County of Bell Employee Benefits Trust Account as needed to fund premiums as presented by the above-named insurance carriers.
